Lightning Reassign Goaltender Karri Ramo to Norfolk of the AHL

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned goaltender Karri Ramo to the Nofolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton announced. Ramo was recalled yesterday on an emergency basis and served as the backup in last night’s game vs. Colorado.
Ramo, 22, has appeared in 22 games this season with Norfolk, posting a 6-11-4 record with a 3.71 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage. He made 26 saves on 27 shots two nights ago in a 2-1 Norfolk win against the Albany River Rats. He made one appearance with the Lightning this season, making 15 saves in a relief appearance on November 23 versus New Jersey.
The 6-foot-2, 207-pound native of Asikkala, Finland was drafted by the Lightning in the sixth round, 191st overall, at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. In 25 career appearances with Tampa Bay, Ramo has compiled a 7-11-3 record with a 3.07 goals-against average.
