Cedric Paquette, the Lightning’s fourth-round pick, 101st overall of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, is the Lightning Prospect Performer of the Week for the period ending October 8th.
Paquette, who plays for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, picked up two goals and five points in four games this past week.
Paquette assisted on Stefan Matteau’s game- winner in a 2-1 victory against the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Wednesday night, while also earning a helper on Christian Marti’s go-ahead marker in a 6-2 win versus the PEI Rocket on Friday night.
Paquette has four goals and nine points in eight games this season and is sitting fourth on his team in scoring. He is also tied for first on his team for shots with 32 and penalty minutes with 16.
Paquette has been a major factor in his squad jumping out to a 6-1-1 record and sitting second place in the league with 13 points through eight games.
Tanner Richard (Forward) – Guelph – OHL – Richard has come out of the gate hot for the Guelph Storm this season, amassing one goal and nine points through the first seven games of the season. In three games this past week Richard reeled in five assists, including a three assist effort in a 5-0 victory against the Windsor Spitfires Thursday night. Richard leads his team in points and assists and is tied for 12th in league scoring. The Storm sit second in the Midwest Division with a 4-2-0-1 record.
