Tanner Richard, the Lightning’s third round pick, 71st overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, is the Lightning Prospect Performer of the Week.
Richard collected 48 points in 43 games last season with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League and has continued that momentum into the 2012-13 season. Through the Storm’s first four games , Richard has amassed a goal and three assists, continuing his point-per-game pace from a year ago. He is currently tied for the team lead for both points and assists.
Richard collected an assist in a 3-2 defeat to the Owen Sound Attack on Friday night. He assisted on a first period power play goal by Zack Leslie.
On Sunday afternoon, Richard played an integral role in the Storm’s 4-1 win against the London Knights, scoring a goal and adding an assist to go along with a game-high plus-4 rating in the team’s victory.

Cedric Paquette (Forward) – Blainville-Boisbriand – QMJHL - After four games Paquette has totaled two goals and four points to go along with a plus-4 rating and 10 penalty minutes. He paces his team in shots on goal with 19 and is second in penalty minutes with 10. The Armada alternate captain and Lightning 2012 fourth-round draft pick collected 31 goals and 48 points in 63 games last season.
Artem Sergeev (Defenseman) – Val-d’Or – QMJHL – In five games this season, Sergeev has a goal and three points. The Moscow, Russia native has seen two of his three points come on the Power Play. He represented Team Russia at the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships and recorded a goal and an assist in seven games. He tallied seven goals and 20 points in 46 games last season in his third year in the QMJHL.
Andrei Vasilevski (Goaltender) – Ufa Jr. – MHL – Through 13 games this season, Vasilevski has amassed a 12-1-0 record and one shutout. The Lightning first round pick, 19th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, has posted a stellar 1.53 goals-against average and a .945 save percentage. In the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships, Vasilevski posted a sparkling 2.01 goals-against average and .953 save percentage guiding Russia to a silver medal. Vasilevski played in 27 games last season for Tolpar Ufa and recorded a 2.23 goals against average and .931 save percentage.
Jaroslav Janus (Goaltender) – Bratislava – KHL – In 10 games this season, Janus has compiled a 6-3-1 record with one shutout. The Presov, Slovakia native and 2009 sixth-round draft pick of the Lightning has recorded a 2.15 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage. Last season he helped guide the Norfolk Admirals to the Calder Cup Championship, posting a 2.36 goals against-average and .913 save percentage in 34 games.
