Tampa Bay Lightning players will walk the red carpet on the west plaza of the St. Pete Times Forum on Saturday, April 10 before the team’s final home game of the 2009-10 season against the Florida Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come welcome the players and get autographs as part of the Lightning’s Fan Appreciation Week.
Beginning at approximately 4:30 p.m., Lightning players are expected to begin arriving on the plaza where they will walk the carpet on their way into the building to prepare for the game. Media are welcome to shoot b-roll or still photos of players walking and greeting fans along their way. Those looking for interviews must make a request through Lightning Public Relations (813.301.6871).
Tampa Bay has designated their final three home games of the season as the centerpieces of Fan Appreciation Week, a celebration which recognizes the dedication and loyalty of the organization’s fans as well as the Tampa Bay community.
Fan Appreciation Week, being held April 5-10, features numerous enhanced fan experiences including contests, giveaways, as well as many food and beverage specials. The Lightning’s final home stand of the season continues tonight against the Ottawa Senators (Sun Sports, AM 970 WFLA) and concludes Saturday (CW44, AM 970 WFLA).
In addition, fans that present their Tampa Bay Rays ticket from the team’s 3:10 p.m. game against the New York Yankees on Saturday will have the opportunity to purchase a lower level end zone ticket to the Lightning’s game later that evening for just $40. Fans should present their Rays ticket at the St. Pete Times Forum Box Office.
