TAMPA BAY -The Tampa Bay Lightning is partnering with the United States Marine Corps Reserve and PODS twice this week at AMALIE Arena to host drives for the Toys for Tots program on Ford Thunder Alley prior to Bolts home games on Thursday, December 8 versus the Vancouver Canucks (7:30 p.m.) and on Saturday, December 10 against the Pittsburgh Penguins (7 p.m.). This collection will give fans the opportunity to share in the season of giving with the Lightning and bring smiles to the faces of children who are less fortunate. PODS is the official moving and storage provider of the Lightning.
Along with members of the United States Marine Corps Reserve, the Lightning will be accepting donations of new unwrapped toys on Ford Thunder Alley beginning two hours before puck-drop through game time prior to both games this week. There will be a PODS container present and donation boxes will also be located on Ford Thunder Alley. Fans donating will receive a retail coupon to be used at Tampa Bay Sports for $10 off a one-time purchase of $50 or more.

"We are grateful to be able to assist the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation again this year with their important mission," said PODS' Chief Marketing Officer, George Spowart. "It is an honor to be able to support an organization that has such a far-reaching impact on families in need throughout the community."
The Toys for Tots Foundation, a community supported non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, seeks to unite local communities across the United States for three months each year through the Toy for Tots program in collecting and distributing toys to less fortunate children during Christmas as a means to share a message of hope that will help contribute to better communities in the future.
