TAMPA BAY –The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today the launch of their new free mobile app for smart phones. The new app, titled Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Club, is available now for fans to download on their mobile iPhone and Android devices.
The Lightning partnered with Sporting Innovations to create the new app. The release today is the first step of several to come over the next 12-18 months. The new mobile app allows Lightning fans the opportunity of a more convenient way to follow team news, game stats, special offers and updates.
“The Lightning’s new mobile app marks another step in our organization’s goal to provide the best fan experience in hockey,” said Lightning president Steve Griggs. “With Sporting Innovations’ help, over the next few years we expect to continue to release technologies to enhance interaction with our fans and corporate partners.”
Fans with the new mobile app that are attending Lightning home games will have access to seat upgrades, Zamboni rides, venue information around Amalie Arena and much more. Additionally, the new app features proximity based special offers and game notifications.

During the first 10 days the new Lightning mobile app is available, people who download and signup for the app will have a chance to enter to win Lightning tickets and signed Lightning items, including the grand prize, a signed Tyler Johnson jersey.
