Lightning host donation drive to support sexual violence victims

by Staff Writer / Tampa Bay Lightning

TAMPA BAY – In conjunction with Sexual Violence Awareness Month, the Tampa Bay Lightning is partnering with the Tampa Police Department, and the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay for the “Take Back The Night: Together We Empower” donation drive to benefit survivors and families facing serious challenges as a result of sexual or domestic violence. The mission of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is to ensure that no one in our community has to face crisis alone.

The “Take Back The Night: Together We Empower” donation drive will take place April 9 on Ford Thunder Alley prior to Thursday’s game against the New Jersey Devils. Donations of non-perishable food items and new clothing will be collected starting at 5 p.m.

Fans generously donating to the cause will receive one free Tampa Bay Storm ticket voucher for every 10 non-perishable food items or new article of clothing, up to a max of four ticket vouchers.
