Lightning Hockey Night

by Staff Writer / Tampa Bay Lightning
Lightning Hockey Night, the Tampa Bay Lightning weekly radio show, will be broadcasting live this Wednesday from WingHouse of Bradenton. The show airs from 7-8 p.m. with the party starting at 6 p.m. Lightning fans can join in the fun and festivities with ThunderBug and the Lightning Girls as they will be on-site with prizes and giveaways.

Wednesday's show will feature hosts Rick Peckham, the Lightning's television play-by-play announcer, and former Lightning forward Chris Dingman. Chris played in Tampa Bay for four seasons and was a part of the 2003-04 Stanley Cup Championship season.

Peckham and Dingman will talk with the Lightning's first overall draft pick, Steven Stamkos, at 7:15 p.m. The 18-year-old Sarnia Sting center was the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NHL draft and now must prepare for Lightning training camp.

At 7:35 p.m., Rick and Chris will be joined on the phone by Barry Melrose, the new head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Melrose was named Tampa Bay's head coach at a press conference Tuesday morning.

Stop by for the show to talk hockey and support the Lightning team. Fans can sign up and enter to win an autographed Vincent Lecavalier hockey stick as well as tickets for various shows at the Forum. Seen Stamkos? T-shirts will also be raffled off.

WingHouse of Bradenton is located on 14th St. W., near the intersection of 14th St. W and 53rd Ave. W. The phone number is (941) 932-8629. With all WingHouse appearances, fans are encouraged to arrive early, as parking can be limited.
