Thanks to community support of the 50/50 Raffle, the Lightning Foundation is very excited to fund the building of a state-of-the-art street hockey rink at the Vinik Family Boys & Girls Club at Winston Park as part of the NHL All-Star Legacy Project.

This All-Star Legacy Project is about much more than just the construction of the rink …. this project is truly about the important life skills programming that will be happening ON the rink for thousands of at-risk children.

Sheriff Deputies and Club Staff will use the great sport of hockey to teach empathy, teamwork, leadership, respect, and other critical life-skills to over 10,000 children from this high-risk community each year.

Not only will these youth learn important life skills, but their first interactions with local law enforcement will be a positive one… as Sheriff's Deputies will lend their time to serve as street hockey coaches at the rink and will build strong bonds with these kids.
