The Tampa Bay Lightning have renewed its sponsorship agreement with valued sponsor WTOG-TV CW 44 today. The partnership renewal terms are set for one more year and will expire in August 2011.
CW 44 will broadcast select Lightning games on Saturday nights for a third consecutive year. Branded as “High Voltage Saturday Nights,” the network will host four games throughout the season including October 16 at Florida, November 6 at San Jose, December 18 vs. Buffalo and January 15 at Carolina. Lightning promotions, both on-air and in-market, will be conducted by CW 44 throughout the year as well.
Included in the agreement is sponsorship exposure of the company’s logo and signage throughout the inner bowl of the arena during Lightning regular season home games. The sponsor will also hold rights to station-branded replay wipes as well as entitlement to the “CW 4 on 4” game situation, with a programming mention before the start of each regular season overtime period.
There will be a CW 44-produced programming spot that includes a tag promoting the next Lightning broadcast or next CW 44 Lightning promotion to run on the video board during each home game. The sponsor will also headline one presenter night throughout the season in which it will distribute a Steven Stamkos bobblehead giveaway item to the first 5,000 fans in attendance on December 20 vs. Carolina in honor of the Lightning’s Rocket Richard Trophy winner. CW 44 will have a presence on the West Plaza as well, and radio spots to air during Lightning regular season games in addition to the Lightning Weekly Radio Show.
In addition, CW 44 will provide Lightning home schedule and ticket information on the station’s web site and will air in-market promotions to support the Lightning and events staged at the St. Pete Times Forum.
