The Tampa Bay Lightning will host the Score For Kids Charity Auction, in conjunction with a watch party, in Shots at Channelside located within the St. Pete Times Forum as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, January 15 from 6-10 p.m. or until the conclusion of the game. Fans can tune in to CW44 to catch all the action, as well as participate in the auction. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Tampa General Hospital’s Children’s Medical Center.
Fans are encouraged to arrive one hour prior to puck drop, as the first 100 individuals in attendance will receive a free Lightning t-shirt. There will also be food and drink specials, visits from Lightning alumni, great prizes and more.
Among the most notable items up for auction is a trip for two to the 2011 NHL All-Star Game in Raleigh, North Carolina, which includes a pair of tickets to the game, hotel accommodations and round-trip airfare courtesy of Southwest Airlines. Other prizes up for bid include round of golf with a Lightning personality at Saddlebrook Resort, along with four tickets to the Lightning’s annual Glitz & Sticks: A Celebrity Casino Evening, presented by Dex Imaging and Sun Sports. In addition, fans may bid on a two-night stay at the Don Cesar beach resort on St. Pete Beach and challenge other bidders for a Steven Stamkos jersey to be signed personally by the Lightning forward following team practice. Lastly, participants will have an opportunity to win a luxury suite for themselves, 17 friends and a Lightning alumnus during the March 31 game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Additional items will also be available for auction throughout the night. Each individual who makes a $25 donation will receive two ticket vouchers good for the January 18 game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
