Lightning assign Condra, Vermin, Conacher to Syracuse

Bolts finalize roster for Thursday's Opening Night.

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have assigned forwards Erik Condra, Joel Vermin and Cory Conacher to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.  

Condra, 5-foot-11, 188 pounds, played in three preseason games this season. He played in 54 games with Tampa Bay in 2015-16, recording six goals and 11 points. Condra has played in 353 career NHL games with the Lightning and the Ottawa Senators, amassing 39 goals and 98 points. 

The Trenton, Michigan native was signed by Tampa Bay as a free agent on July 1, 2015.

Vermin, 5-11, 192 pounds, skated in three preseason games with the Lightning in 2016, notching one assist. He made his NHL debut in 2015-16, playing in six games with Tampa Bay and recording one assist. Vermin has played in 118 career AHL games, all with the Crunch, registering 22 goals and 55 points. 

A native of Bern, Switzerland, Vermin was drafted by the Lightning in the seventh round, 186th overall, of the 2013 NHL Draft. 

Conacher, 5-8, 180 pounds, played in four preseason games in 2016, recording one goal. He has played in 141 career NHL games with the Lightning, Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders, recording 19 goals and 58 points. Conacher played in 48 games with SC Bern last season, recording 22 goals and 52 points in helping Bern to the Swiss league championship.

The Burlington, Ontario native was signed as a free agent on July 13, 2016. Conacher made his NHL debut with the Lightning during the 2012-13 season after signing a two-way contract on March 1, 2012.
