TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned forward Jonathan Marchessault to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Marchessault, 5-8, 184 pounds, has played in 60 games with Syracuse this season, leading the Crunch with 36 assists and 57 points. He ranks second on the team for goals with 21, while his six power-play goals are tied for second. The 24 year-old has played in 287 career AHL games with Syracuse, the Springfield Falcons and the Connecticut Whale, recording 89 goals and 244 points.
Marchessault was acquired by Tampa Bay on March 5, 2014, along with Dalton Smith, from Columbus in exchange for Dana Tyrell and Matt Taormina.
