by Staff Writer / Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning will host IZOD IndyCar Series auto racing driver Alex Tagliani on Monday, March 7 to perform the traditional call of ‘Let’s Play Hockey’ prior to the team’s 7 p.m. start against the Washington Capitals, as well as to sign autographs and interact with fans.

Fans are encouraged to arrive at the St. Pete Times Forum an hour and a half prior to the puck drop, as Tagliani and his Indy Series show car will arrive on the west plaza beginning at 5:30 p.m. There will be an autograph session and photo opportunities for fans until the start of the game. Tagliani will then kick off the action as he leads fans in ‘Let’s Play Hockey’ at 7 p.m.

Those who arrive a bit too late to the game will have an additional opportunity to receive autographs during the first intermission behind section 104. Throughout the night, fans may also enter into a contest to score four free tickets and paddock passes to race day at the 2011 Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, to be held March 25-27. The name of one lucky winner will be selected and then displayed on Lightning Vision during the game’s second intermission.
