With the start of the 2016-17 NHL regular season just three days away, FOX Sports Sun, the regional television home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, will be providing the perfect countdown to opening night with replays of some of the best games from last season each weeknight leading up to Thursday's home opener.

Starting Monday and every night through Wednesday at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports Sun, Lightning fans will be able to watch the Bolts Game 3 win over the New York Islanders in last year's Stanley Cup Playoffs second round series this evening, the Bolts Game 4 win over the Islanders tomorrow night and the Lightning's Game 5 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in last year's Stanley Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Final on Wednesday night.
The trio of victories serve as an exciting lead in to get Lightning fans excited for the season opener on Thursday night, Oct. 13 vs. the Detroit Red Wings. FOX Sports Sun's live coverage of Lightning Opening Night will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. with a special, one-hour pregame show from Amalie Arena. A broadcast team of five will provide extensive analysis as Lightning broadcasters Rick Peckham, Brian Engblom, Dave Andreychuk, Paul Kennedyand Bobby "Chief" Taylor will all play a role. Lightning Owner Jeff Vinik and General Manager Steve Yzerman are tentatively scheduled to join to the broadcast during the pregame show.
