The Lightning collected their 61st win of the season with a 3-1 victory over the Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday night.
Steven Stamkos led the way offensively for the Bolts, scoring a shorthanded goal and setting up Alex Killorn's game-winner in the third period.
The Bolts fell behind less than five minutes into the game with Mitch Marner scoring the opening goal. Marner stripped Erik Cernak at the blueline and beat Andrei Vasilevskiy with a quick shot to put Toronto up 1-0.

It took more than 20 minutes for the Lightning to equalize on Stamkos' 44th goal of the season early in the second period. With the Bolts killing off a penalty, Ryan McDonagh fed Stamkos with a stretch pass and the Lightning captain beat Frederik Andersen on a breakaway to tie the game.
Stamkos then set up the play that led to Killorn's game-winner in the third period. Driving toward the net, Stamkos drew the attention of two leafs defensemen leaving Killorn wide open to collect Stamkos' pass and score the game-winner.
Nikita Kucherov scored into an empty net with less than a minute to play in regulation to put the game away for Tampa Bay. The goal was Kucherov's 40th of the season and gives the Lightning three 40-goal scorers this year.
In addition to Stamkos' two points, Ryan McDonagh also registered a multi-point night, picking up a pair of assists.
