The Tampa Bay Lightning joined forces with Spectrum and Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay on September 23 to repair three homes in Lealman, an impoverished neighborhood in southeast Pinellas County. The project, which marked the launch of Building a Healthier Lealman, included the installation of new doors, AC unit repairs, accessibility modifications, electrical and plumbing repairs to low-income households.
Lightning Alumni Mathieu Garon and Jassen Cullimore, along with 36 Lightning and Spectrum volunteers, put finishing touches on three pre-selected properties in Lealman.
"The Lightning organization is proud to join forces with our partners Spectrum and Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay, to make an impact in our community and better the lives of three families," said Jarrod Dillon, Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer, Tampa Bay Sports & Entertainment.
"Our employees are thrilled for the opportunity to volunteer alongside our fellow community members."
