TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning and The Mosaic Company announced today that in conjunction with their Goals for Food program, the partnership is teaming up with Feeding Tampa Bay for a ninth consecutive season.

"I am excited to continue my involvement with Feeding Tampa Bay, helping provide meals to families in need," Lightning forward Brayden Point said. "After seeing first-hand how great of an organization Feeding Tampa Bay is, I am looking forward to helping raise awareness and providing support to people who are food insecure in Tampa Bay."
For every goal scored by the Lightning during 2021-22 regular season home games, Mosaic will donate $500 and $5,000 for every hat trick scored to Feeding Tampa Bay and 13 regional community and food bank partners. Each dollar raised, equals ten meals donated.
"We are proud to continue our commitment to supporting our local community in the fight against hunger alongside the Tampa Bay Lightning," shares Sarah Fedorchuk, Vice President Government and Public Affairs - North America with The Mosaic Company. "For nearly a decade, Goals for Food has helped feed those most vulnerable to food insecurity in the Tampa Bay area, a place where many Mosaic employees call home."
Each year, Mosaic invests over $1.5 million to address food insecurity in the communities where they operate across North America. Through the first eight seasons of the partnership, the Lightning and Mosaic have donated more than 8-million meals towards hunger relief in the Tampa Bay area, including $49,000 raised during the 2020-21 season.
In addition to Goals for Food, the Lightning will host a food drive, sponsored by Mosaic, to wrap up the regular season. Fans are encouraged to make either a monetary or non-perishable food donation in support of Feeding Tampa Bay. Last year, the
food bank provided over 95 million meals in the 10 counties they serve in the Tampa Bay area.
"We look forward to another successful Goals for Food season with the Lightning and know we can count on Lightning fans to rally together in the fight against hunger and exceed last year's food drive total of 34,000 meals," said Fedorchuk.
