The Lightning's 6-3 win over the Bruins in the regular season finale was a big day for team and personal milestones.

The win was Tampa Bay's 62nd of the season, matching the 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings for the most victories in a single season.

On a personal level, a goal and an assist gave Nikita Kucherov 128 points this season, passing Alexander Mogilny for the most points in a single-season by a Russian-born player. Additionally, Steven Stamkos' second period shorthanded goal lifted his season point total to 98, setting a new career-high.

To reach win No. 62, however, the Bolts had to overcome a slow start.

Boston led 2-0 after the first period thanks to goals from David Krejci and Danton Heinen. Both goals came with less than five minutes remaining in the opening period.

Tampa Bay responded with a strong push in the second.

Erik Cernak got the Lightning on the board with his 5th goal of the year early in the period. After Stamkos' shorthanded goal tied the game, Anthony Cirelli scored late in the second to give the Bolts the lead.

Kucherov matched Mogilny's record with a goal less than a minute into the third period. Kucherov split a pair of Bruins defenders and beat Tuukka Rask on a backhand to double Tampa Bay's lead.

Matt Grzelcyk scored to pull the Bruins back within one but Braydon Coburn responded with a goal 13 seconds later to reestablish Tampa Bay's two-goal advantage.

Kucherov then set the record with the secondary assist on Tyler Johnson's empty net goal that rounded out the scoring and gave Tampa Bay a 6-3 lead.

Eddie Pasquale made his second start of the week in goal for the Bolts and collected the victory, making 30 saves on the afternoon.
