'Bolts Chel Challenge' NHL 19 Tournament heads into final stage

The final four contestants will be traveling from home to play for a $10,000 prize purse this Saturday, February 16

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning's "Bolts Chel Challenge", an NHL 19 eSports tournament, heads into the final stage this Saturday, February 16 when the Lightning take on the Montreal Canadiens at AMALIE Arena. Both semi-finals, the third place and the championship match will be held in the Spectrum Quad. 

The final four contestants will be traveling far from home to play for a $10,000 prize purse, as well as the right to represent Tampa Bay at the 2019 Chel Classic, a 3v3 showcase match against the Washington Capitals in Washington, D.C. The finalists are John Wayne Casagranda (johnwayneee09) from Anchorage, Alaska, Kristian Veijola (Kriketsi17) from Oulu, Finland, Aaro Ruuhinen (xDoumi) from Kaustinen, Finland and Hannes Kettunen (Hansulinho) from Vantaa, Finland. 

All matches will be a best-of-three format and will be streamed via the Lightning Twitch Channel. That channel can be located at Match commentary will be provided by Kevin Murray (Twitch - Kmagic101) and Wayne Cafariella (Twitch - Chefwayneface), both of which are representatives of Rare Drop. Rare Drop is an event planning and multi-media company in the eSports and gaming sector. 

Custom Lightning Sub-Badges, Bit-Badges and Emotes are now available via the Lightning Twitch Channel.  Proceeds from subscriptions and bits will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay (

The Top 3 finishers from the Bolts Chel Challenge will then travel to Washington, D.C. to play as they representatives for Team Lightning against Team Capitals in the first-ever Chel Classic on March 19. They will also attend the Bolts/Capitals game on March 20.
