Bolts by the numbers: February 13 edition

by Peter Pupello / Tampa Bay Lightning

Who's hot heading into this week:

The Bolts forward enters the week with points in six of his past seven games, recording five goals and 10 points in that span. Of those five goals during that stretch, three have been game-winners, giving Stamkos eight on the season which ties the franchise single-season record.
Purcell is riding a season-high four-game point streak (0G, 5A) having assisted on both of Steve Downie’s goals in the team’s most recent outing on Sunday against Pittsburgh and helping to set up the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 2-1 victory at Buffalo.
The Tampa Bay net minder is enjoying his best stretch of the season, as he has gone 6-1-2 in his past nine starts. During that span, Garon has stopped 230 shots on 253 attempts faced, accounting for a save percentage of .909 and a goals-against average of 2.53.
Downie comes into this week riding a two-game goal scoring streak with three goals in that span. The Lightning winger had both of his club’s tallies in its most recent contest on Sunday at Pittsburgh and has amassed a plus-2 rating in his past two outings.
The No. 2 overall draft pick in 2009 has recorded an assist in each of his past two games and has also collected points in four of his past six games since returning from injury on Jan. 31, notching a goal and four points over that stretch.
