Bishop closeup game 5 5816

Team USA goalie Ben Bishop unveiled his mask for the World Cup of Hockey 2016 on Saturday.

Designed by goalie-mask artist David Gunnarsson, it has the same reflective dark blue color, design and glow-in-the-dark functionality of Bishop's mask for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Instead of the Lightning logo on the crown, Bishop's new mask has the red-shield Team USA logo, with the letters outlined on each side instead of Bishop's usual "Bolts." Each logo stands out in the dark.
Bishop is the first goalie to officially unveil a new mask for the World Cup, but Gunnarsson posted a picture on Instagram of

for Team Finland goalie Pekka Rinne.
Bishop, Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings and Cory Schneider of the New Jersey Devils are the Team USA goalies for the World Cup. The USA is one of eight teams in the international tournament, which runs from Sept. 17-Oct. 1 in Toronto.
