TAMPA - You’ve never seen competition like this! Watch the tournament play “heat up” as more than 37 sports and entertainment celebrities hit the felt for The Last Celebrity Standing prize of $10,000 for their favorite charity on Monday, November 12 at the 2nd Annual Vincent Lecavalier Celebrity Poker Tournament.

The Texas Hold’Em Tournament, organized to benefit the new Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at All Children’s Hospital, has a limited number of seats remaining for “average Joes” who are ready to knock out their favorite celebrity and compete for more than $45,000 in tournament cash and prizes.

Tickets may be purchased online at through 11:59 pm Sunday, November 11th. Sales will reopen at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Monday, November 12 at noon.

Celebrity participation will represent an unprecedented cross section of sports and entertainment with NFL, MLB, NHL, Rock N’ Roll, IRL, BMX, Boxing, Tennis, Wakeboarding, Extreme Sports and even media/television personalities in attendance.

Among the celebrities scheduled to participate are Lecavalier’s Lightning teammates Brad Richards, Martin St. Louis, Paul Ranger, Chris Gratton, Andre Roy, Jan Hlavac, Vinny Prospal, Tim Taylor and Dave Andreychuk.

Champion boxers Winky Wright and Antonio Tarver, Tennis Pro Mardy Fish, Deal or No Deals’ Briefcase #2 holder Stacey Gardner, former playmate of the year Julie Cialini, ABC’s Brothers and Sisters’ John Pyper-Ferguson, IRL racing champ Dan Wheldon and former NBA star Matt Geiger are also scheduled to attend.

Rounding out the celebrity guests are Major League Baseball starting pitchers John Bale (Royals), Gary Glover (Devil Rays) and Jesse Litsch (Blue Jays); Extreme Sports athletes Chris Fernandez (BMX), Parks and Shane Bonifay (ProWakeBoarders), Anthony Furlong (XGames vertical skater), Rock N’Roll/Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander, and if the cards fall right, 2004 Card Player Magazine Player of the Year Daniel Negreanu. Mike “Cowhead” Calta from 102.5 The Bone will also be on hand to interview “knocked out” celebrities as they discuss failed poker strategies on The Celebrity Couch.

The evening, which is presented by DEX Imaging and The Yerrid Foundation, gets started at

6 p.m. with a Private VIP/Players Party in the Seminole Ballroom, followed by the Wild Card Party featuring entertainment, a silent auction, a raffle, gaming, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for all guests at 7:15 p.m. The tournament gets underway at 8 p.m., with an awards ceremony to follow.

An individual buy-in for the tournament is $550, but don’t worry if you’re not an “ace” player. The tournament offers all players an unlimited number of re-buy opportunities during the first hour of play for $100 each. VIP All Access passes (including VIP Party, Wild Card Party and a spectator pass for the poker room) are also available for $450 each, and individual guest passes (ballroom only) can be purchased for $250.
