GourdeBobble

Last Thursday morning before playing his 400th NHL game, an overtime home against the New York Rangers, Kraken forward Yanni Gourde answered questions about the feat with his usual humility and gratitude about playing a game he loves. Then the hard-nosed reporting group fired away the tough questions - about whether Gourde had yet viewed his bobblehead likeness?
The fan giveaway for Wednesday's San Jose-Seattle game at Climate Pledge Arena is a Yanni Gourde bobblehead. It's the first of five bobbleheads Kraken fans can collect this season. The other four players graced with bobbleheads (dates to be announced) are Brandon Tanev, Matty Beniers, Jordan Eberle, and Adam Larsson.

And the answer is yes, Gourde has seen his bobblehead in advance. In fact, so have a number of teammates, who teased a bit but in the end, all complimented the giveaway item (the bobblehead's hair "has better flow" than Gourde the teammate, joked Matty Beniers with a big smile on his face - watch teammate reactions in the video included with this story). Here is Gourde's scouting report on his bobblehead:
"I think [the likeness] is pretty good. I think it's pretty accurate. There's a little mustache there and yeah, I like it. It's really nice and my first-ever bubblehead. It's exciting stuff.
"[Bobbleheads] are so accurate these days. It's good. I will have to get one for each of my daughters."
