SEATTLE, Wash. - March 21, 2022 - Today, the Seattle Kraken (@SeattleKraken) announced that they have acquired forward Victor Rask from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for future considerations. Minnesota will retain 50 percent of Rask's contract, and he will report to Charlotte (AHL).
Rask, who stands at six-foot-two and 199 pounds, has split the 2021-22 season between the Minnesota Wild and their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Iowa Wild, totaling 12 points (two goals, eight assists) in 29 games for Minnesota and 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 10 games for Iowa. The 29-year-old brings 488 games of NHL experience to the Kraken organization, recording 215 points (85 goals, 130 assists) over the course of eight seasons (2014-15 to 20210-22) with Minnesota (2018-19 to 2021-22) and Carolina (2014-15 to 2018-19).

The Leksand, Sweden native has represented his home country in international competition on eight different occasions, including the 2015 and 2017 IIHF World Championships and at the 2012 and 2013 IIHF World Junior Championships. He won a gold medal in 2018 and silver in both 2012 and 2013. He was originally selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
