Kraken fans can contribute to the worthiest of causes Saturday night and through Monday 9 a.m. by bidding on all Seattle game-worn and signed jerseys and a choice selection from the Pittsburgh Penguins, including future Hall of Famers Sidney Crosby, Kris Letang, and Evgeni Malkin.
D'Vonne Pickett Jr., Saturday's honoree for the new in-game "Kraken Unity Fund" tradition, was a man who touched the hearts, minds, and lives of youth and adults alike in his Central District community. He was killed outside his neighborhood business recently, a devastating loss to local youth he guided as a coach and mentor.

D'Vonne was a supreme and tireless community builder and so as we honor his life, the Kraken want to continue his legacy. To that end, the jerseys worn by both teams' players Saturday will be signed and auctioned off to benefit

, the youth football team that D'Vonne coached.
In an incredible gesture, the Penguins will provide the jerseys of Crosby, Letang, Malkin, Bryan Rust, Jeff Carter, and Tristan Jarry. All Kraken players' jerseys will be available for bidding during the game and through Monday morning at 9 a.m.

D'Vonne, a father of three young children, was an alum of Rainier Beach High School and a talented college basketball player for Seattle University. He played and walked in his graduation under the Kraken arena's historic roof. After college, D'Vonne became an entrepreneur and opened a small business, The Postman. With his wife Keanna, he created a beautiful place that brought his community together.
D'Vonne's widow, Keanna, will attend the game with her family as we honor his memory. His memorial will take place at Climate Pledge Arena on November 10th.
