Vey Assigned To Manchester; Livingston Acquired From San Jose

The Los Angeles Kings have assigned forward Linden Vey to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League. The Kings also acquired forward James Livingston from San Jose in exchange for a conditional seventh round selection in the 2016 NHL Draft, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Vey, 22, has appeared in 18 games with the Kings this season, recording five points (all assists) and zero penalty minutes. Vey has also played in 31 games with Manchester this season, recording 35 points (11-24=35) and 18 penalty minutes.

Livingston, who turns 24 on Saturday, has 15 points (4-11=15) and 22 penalty minutes in 53 games with the Worcester Sharks, San Jose’s AHL affiliate. Livingston was originally drafted by St. Louis in the third round (70th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Livingston is expected to report to Manchester.

The Kings travel to Winnipeg today to take on the Jets tomorrow (Thursday) at 4 p.m. (PT) on FOX Sports West and AM 1150. The Kings road trip continues in Edmonton on Sunday and in Calgary on Monday.
