LOS ANGELES, Calif. (January 29, 2015) – Travel Alberta and the Los Angeles Kings today announce #VacationLikeaKing, a fun and engaging interactive social media campaign created to amplify and reinforce their recently renewed partnership. The campaign is designed to engage Kings fans to post photos via #VacationLikeaKing – a social media challenge hosted on the Kings' official site and the Kings mobile app that encourages fans to vacation in Alberta, Canada year-round.
Fans can register for a chance to win the ultimate grand prize that will be selected twice throughout the season, with the “Royal Court” being crowned once midway through the season in December 2014 and again in April 2015. Winners of this package will receive a host of prizes including a $2,500 American Express gift card, a $500 TEAM LA Store gift card, round-trip limo service to STAPLES Center, a VIP behind the scenes tour of STAPLES Center, among other premium prizes.

Fans can participate by registering online and uploading their favorite photo from a recent trip to Alberta, along with the #VacationLikeaKing hashtag. Fans that register, upload, and share their favorite photos via their social channels will automatically receive a $50 American Express gift card.
Each month during the 12-month campaign, Bailey, the lovable Kings mascot, will select his favorite fan photo (“Bailey’s Favorites”). Monthly winners of this contest will receive an exciting slate of prizes ranging from signed team memorabilia, tickets to Kings games, gift cards, and private skating sessions at The Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, Calif.

The campaign will feature Kings fans and their stories on the Kings’ official website, which will serve as the contest’s hub, collating the hashtagged photos in one collective destination, and further providing another online hub for Kings fans to unite and share their passion for their favorite hockey club. In addition, the LA Kings travel hub will display Baily videos and player testimonials for fans to enjoy.
