by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings

LOS ANGELES – Single game tickets for all Los Angeles Kings home games at STAPLES Center for the 2011-12 regular season go on sale to the general public next Wednesday, September 7, at 10 a.m., the Kings announced today.

To purchase tickets beginning September 7, visit and call 1-888-KINGS-LA (1.888.54647.52).

Single game tickets for the Kings’ 2011-12 Season Opener at STAPLES Center against the St. Louis Blues on October 18, and the club’s two preseason games at STAPLES Center, are currently on sale.

The Kings open the regular season with a two-game trip to Europe on October 7 against the Rangers in Stockholm and on October 8 against the Sabres in Berlin.  The Kings then continue with games at New Jersey on October 13 and at Philadelphia on October 15.

The Kings-Blues game on October 18 is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.  During the preseason, the Kings host Phoenix on September 21 (7:30 p.m.) and Anaheim on September 25 (6:30 p.m.) at STAPLES Center.  Tickets are also currently on sale for Frozen Fury, the Kings’ annual game at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on October 1 against Colorado.

Last season the Kings sold out STAPLES Center 38 times – 35 times during the regular season and three times during the postseason – in what was a record-setting year at the Box Office.  The 35 regular season sellouts were the most in STAPLES Center history (1999-present) and the most sellouts overall for the team since the 1991-92 season (40 sellouts that year).  In addition, the Kings regular season average attendance of 18,083 last year was the highest in team history, surpassing the previous high mark of 17,857 established during the 2003-04 season.

The momentum from last season has also carried into the summer as the Kings continue to sell season tickets at a record pace, and several price categories have sold out. In addition, the Kings have created two new season seat programs – The Crown Club and The Supporters Group, which includes season ticket membership in the lower bowl for just $45 per game – one of the lowest prices in the NHL.
