Training Camp Huddle

The LA Kings celebrated the opening of 2018-19 training camp by hosting a fan fest on Saturday, September 15th at Toyota Sports Center and an intra-squad game on Sunday, September 16th at the Citizens Bank Arena.

We got a sneak peek at the Kovalchuk - Kopitar - Brown line...
Kovalchuk had Kopitar and Brown thinking, "this guy is pretty good."

The fan fest also featured DJ SOL from POWER106, tons of giveaways, a custom Adidas mural photo op, virtual reality games and a special edition pro-stock sale.
Not to mention, fans could enter to win tickets to several pre-season games and opening night.

One lucky fan even won a meet & greet with Kyle Clifford!
She happened to be a lot smaller (& cuter) than expected.

The Kings vs Kings game in Ontario was a friendly scrimmage for the players to get back into the swing of things before they hit the ice for their first pre-season game on Tuesday.
Our reaction when someone said they were cheering for the Kings:

Everyone was getting their footing that evening, including Mike Amadio, who took a small spill.
John Stevens joked
, "We're going to have to get Amadio some skating lessons there. He almost fell down in the shootout."

Amadio
, "It was a great turnout. We had a lot of fun out there and there was good pace, so it was an all-around good day."

Kings vs Kings Shootout Benches

The game winning goal came in the shootout, by none other than Ilya Kovalchuk, his first goal of the year.
Fingers crossed this is a trend that continues.

We're happy to report the Kings are still undefeated in pre-season!
If you missed the events this wekeend, or just want to see more of the Kings, every practice at Toyota Sports Center is free and open to the public!
