Before the tears dry let me say Thank You to the L.A Kings.
Thank You Dustin Brown for your leadership on and off the ice. You said all the right things and played the game with honor. Tattoo the C, you now join Kareem as a Los Angeles Captain for life.
Thank You Jonathan Quick for being the most humble MVP champion in L.A. sports history. You are a role model for our kids and your talent is only exceeded by your mental tenacity.
Thank You Mike Richards for being the Big Intangible. You are the smartest hockey player I’ve seen since 99. Though twenty players share the heart of this team, in my mind, you started it beating with your arrival.
Thank You Anze Kopitar for being our best player that doesn’t wear a mask. Who dons a plastic crown for a Cup Celebration? You! Because you are a generally nice person, and a son all Kings fans adopt with pride.
Thank You Justin Williams for being the piece. You’re experience, outlook, and freedom of play was evident all playoffs long.

Thank You Dustin Penner for the best sound bites in Kings history. You made us laugh and taught us much about redemption and pancakes.
Thank You Jeff Carter for coming through when it mattered most. Now get off Richie’s couch! Stanley Cup Champions deserve their own pad.
Thank You Jarret Stoll. If there was a face off for my life, I’d have you take it. The OT winner against the Canucks was my favorite King moment until we raised the silver.
Thank you Simon Gagne for having the professionalism to get into hockey shape knowing there was a small chance you would play in these playoffs. You were one of the better players in the finals and deserve the engraving.
Thank You Alec Martinez for playing with the poise of a vet. That run on the 2nd goal in game six was Epic.
Thank You Slava Voynov for having the maturity to play your game even though the breaks may have gone against you. You have no idea what you have just done, but you will one day.
Thank You for Trevor Lewis for never giving up and proving that hard work will be rewarded. Your speed and work on the PK was crucial all playoffs long.
