Ten LA Kings players were named to their respective international rosters set to compete in the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) 2021 World Championships. The tournament will be hosted from May 21 through June 6 in Riga, Latvia and offer NHL players, whose teams did not qualify for the playoffs, an opportunity to represent their country.
Sean Walker, Jaret Anderson-Dolan, and Gabriel Vilardi will represent Team Canada, Olli Maatta and Kim Nouisianen will represent Team Finland, Adrian Kempe will represent Team Sweden and Matt Roy, Cal Petersen, Trevor Moore, and Christian Wolanin will represent the United States.
The annual 16-team tournament is back after the 2020 IIHF World Championships was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
