The Los Angeles Kings announced Monday that Subway Restaurants has been named title sponsor for the 2009-10 “Freeway Face-Off.” The announcement was made in conjunction with the Anaheim Ducks. The “Freeway Face-Off,” a six-game Southern California series between the Kings and Ducks, is in its third season. The first meeting this season between the two clubs is tomorrow night at Honda Center in Anaheim at 7:30 p.m. The Kings v. Ducks complete schedule is as follows:

The “Freeway Face-Off” was launched during the 2007-08 season, highlighting the rivalry between the Kings and Ducks. Anaheim won the inaugural “Freeway Face-Off” in 2007-08, earning 12 standings points to the Kings’ six. In 2008-09, the Kings won the second “Freeway Face-Off” with seven standings points to Anaheim’s six. All six games this season will be televised live on FS WEST or PRIME TICKET.
Tomorrow night, members of the Kings Alumni Association including Jim Fox (who also serves as the Kings Color Commentator on FS West), Marty McSorley and Ian Turnbull will be hosting a special “Freeway Face-off Series” Watch Party at South in Santa Monica (located at 3001 Wilshire). Following tomorrow night’s Kings-Ducks game, the Kings return to STAPLES Center on Thursday when they host Ottawa at 7:30 p.m. The Kings-Senators game will be broadcast on FS West, KTLK AM 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network.
