Six Questions with Peter Harrold

Kings defenseman Peter Harrold represented Team USA in the 2009 World Championships, his first international appearance. caught up with Kings defenseman Peter Harrold to ask six questions about what he does during the offseason.

During 2008-09, Harrold recorded a career-high four goals (including the game winner on April 11 vs. San Jose) and eight assists for 12 points, scoring two goals as a forward and two as a defenseman. Signed by the Kings in 2006 as an unrestricted free agent, Harrold played in his 100th game as a King and in the NHL on March 24 at St. Louis.
What was the first thing you did after the season ended?
Harrold: After the season ended, I played some golf. [Harrold also participated in the World Championships as a member of Team USA; you can read the news article here]. Where are you living during the summer?
Harrold: I live in Hermosa Beach all year. How do you keep in shape during the offseason?  Describe a typical workout.
Harrold: I do a warm up and a run for about an hour and then lift some weights for an hour and a half. What is your favorite summer activity?
Harrold: I have been trying to learn how to surf. What was your favorite moment of the 2008-09 season?
Harrold: Watching Matt Greene block a shot with his face in overtime and continue playing (Picture). What are you most looking forward to for next season?
Harrold: A chance to get into the playoffs.
