The LA Kings and the Simpsons in the same feature?!
It's like everything in my life has led up to this moment. Thank you, Kings Weekly.
My good friends Jack A. Wilson (Senior Producer, FOX Sports West) and Jon Rosen (LA Kings Insider) got to spend the day with Simpsons writer and producer Mike Scully, and I've never been more jealous.
Writer's note: Wilson and Rosen are hereforth my former friends for not inviting me to on their trip to the Simpsons studio
Scully, a longtime Kings fan, gave Kings Weekly a behind the scenes look of the Simpsons production offices where he shared what the inspiration was for the widely-lauded, classic "Lisa on Ice" episode, along with stories from his decades of LA Kings and Springfield Kings fandom.
What I wouldn't give to own this puck.
I don't think you'll find a bigger trio of wide-eyed Simpsons fans than myself, Wilson and Rosen. Yet, the biggest starstruck moment of the day came when Scully got the chance to meet Hall of Fame and former Kings trainer Pete Demers.
See, we're all fanboys and fangirls at heart.
