Sights & Sounds: Meet the Players

by Alex Kinkopf / Los Angeles Kings

On Monday night, the Kings' 2015-'16 roster made their first appearance of the season in front of this year's group of Season Ticket Members in a 'Meet the Players' event held at STAPLES Center.

The players, who are in town for Training Camp, which kicks off Friday morning at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, took time to sign memorabilia for some of the most dedicated fans of the organization.

Fans were allowed to bring a wide variety of items to be signed, including jerseys, photos, and sticks. Since the event was held at STAPLES Center, fans also got a first-hand look at the Kings' fresh ice-sheet for the upcoming season!

All of the Kings' banners were pulled down from STAPLES Center's rafters, giving fans the opportunity to stand and have photos taken next to them. Along with the 2012 and 2014 Stanley Cup Championship banners, those of the 2012 and 2014 Western Conference Championships were included, as well as the jersey retirement banners of Rogie Vachon, Marcel Dionne, Dave Taylor, Wayne Gretzky, Luc Robitaille, and Rob Blake.

Fans who were at the event, took to social media to share various photos of their experience, what players they got to meet, and what items they were able to get autographed.
