Sheldon Rempal has been named as the CCM/AHL Rookie of the Month for November after the forward picked up 12 points (4-8=12) in nine games played for the Ontario Reign.
Rempal was recalled by the LA Kings on Nov. 26 and finished the month by skating in three NHL games.
Rempal began the month with a two-goal game on Nov. 1, including the game-winner late in the third period to send Ontario to a 5-3 win over Texas. He recorded two assists in each game of back-to-back wins over Stockton on Nov. 11 and Grand Rapids on Nov. 16, and his goal at San Diego on Nov. 21 sparked a comeback from 3-0 down and helped the Reign to a 4-3 victory. Rempal then tallied a goal and two assists vs. Tucson on Nov. 25, helping Ontario erase a four-goal third-period deficit in a 7-6 overtime win.
Rempal appeared in 39 games this past season with Clarkson University (ECAC), posting 46 points (23-23=46), a plus-19 rating and 34 penalty minutes. He signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Kings in March.
He completed his collegiate career by leading Clarkson to the NCAA tournament before falling to Providence in the East Regional Semi-Final 1-0 in overtime. He led all Golden Knights players in goals and points, and ranked tied for second in assists during his sophomore campaign. He finished with 69 points (34-35=69) in 78 career games over two seasons with Clarkson.
The Kings continue their four-game homestand on Tuesday as they take on the Arizona Coyotes at 7:30 pm. The Kings will honor Lubomir Visnovsky as part of their Legends Night series presented by McDonald's.
The game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports West, the FOX Sports App and on the LA Kings Audio Network on I Heart Radio.
