Reading, PA – The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Nick Vukovic. Vukovic (6'3"/205), who will turn twenty-six on September 11, played 34 regular season games for the Royals last year, picking up three assists and twenty-eight penalty minutes.

Vukovic began his rookie season with the Florida Everblades where he scored five goals and assisted on seven others in thirty-two games prior to being traded to the Pensacola Ice Pilots. Before playing a game with Pensacola, however, Vukovic was loaned to the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL, where he was on January 30, 2006, when the Royals acquired his rights in a trade for defenseman, Stuart Kerr.

A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Vukovic, who hails from Kitchener, Ontario, played four seasons of major junior with North Bay and Owen Sound in the Ontario Hockey League prior to his collegiate career.
