Rimes to Perform at Holiday Ice Opening

by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
Please join us Thursday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. for the debut of L.A. LIVE’s spectacular holiday LED multi-media presentation, official tree lighting ceremony, grand opening of the LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE (L.A. LIVE’s first-ever outdoor public ice skating rink) and special performances by GRAMMY award-winning singer LeAnn Rimes, and Shelia E. and the E Family featuring the Family Drum Core.

The Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony will also kick off Season of Giving* – AEG’s initiative being launched to provide fundraising and awareness opportunities for charities and non-profit organizations in the Los Angeles area. Throughout the month of December, a different charity or non-profit organization will be honored at the skating rink each night as part of AEG’s Season of Giving* initiative.

The evening will also mark the season’s first lighting of the festive holiday lights displayed along the streets throughout the L.A. LIVE district featuring 75,000 lights that adorn 50 ten-foot angels along with over 265,000 snowfall LED lights covering 150 trees.

The LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE skating rink will be open to the public from Dec. 3-31; general admission is $10 and includes skate rentals. The rink will measure 70 feet by 50 feet and can accommodate 200 skaters at one time. For more information, visit www.lalive.com/holidayice.

Nokia Plaza at L.A. LIVE is located at:
800 W. Olympic Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90015
