Jersey Auction Raises Over $30,000 For Charity
The Reign and Condors donned the jerseys inspired by their NHL affiliates as the Reign hosted “Affiliation Night” Sunday evening. The Reign auctioned off their LA Kings themed jerseys in their first “Jersey Off Our Back” auction to help raise funds for the San Antonio Community Hospital. Fans battled back-and-forth for the opportunity to own their very own game-worn jersey from their favorite players. Fans had the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind memorabilia, such as a game-worn jersey from the first player to ever score a goal for the Ontario Reign, a Kings prospect goaltender, and the first-ever player to sign with the Reign.
The jersey auction raised $30,975 for SACH, with the sale of Reign captain Jon Francisco’s jersey bringing in $4,100 alone. Left wing Chris Curran’s jersey went for $3,300, and several other Reign players’ jerseys sold for over $1,000.
