by Staff Writer / Los Angeles Kings
ONTARIO, Calif. – The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, were out-dueled by the Alaska Aces, 1-0, in front of 5,381 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Thursday.

The game was just past the half-way mark of the second period when Alaska scored the first goal of the game. Brian Swanson centered a pass to Scott Howes, who beat Kellen Briggs to give the Aces a 1-0 lead.

Both teams had a number of scoring opportunities on the night, but the goaltenders played well. Gerald Coleman earned his fifth win for Alaska and a share of the league lead in that category.

Tonight’s three stars were:

1) AK – Gerald Coleman
2) AK – Scott Howes
3) ONT – Kellen Briggs
