The Reign got on the board first at the 12:45 mark of the first period with a great redirection from Vincent LoVerde for his fourth tally of the season. NHLer Devin Setoguchi earned his first point of the season with the assist, while rookie Mario Lamoureux extended his point streak to four games with the second assist. This game extends the Reign’s perfect record when scoring first (8-0-0-0).
Just 55 seconds into play San Francisco’s Peter Sivak scored the equalizer for the Bulls with former Reign forward Jordan Morrison and Justin Bowers earning the assists. At the 8:53 mark of the period, Jason Beeman deflected the puck into the top right corner of the net with help from Paul Mara at the blue line and Lamoureux for his second assist of the night. Dan DaSilva gave the Reign a two goal lead with his fourth tally of the season.
