Armed only with a camera and a microphone, Nick Nickson returned from his lenghthy layoff,  which caused him to miss the last 10 games of the season, as he rehabbed a back injury. Nickson's hiatus snapped a streak of over 21 years and an unofficial count of 1,612 consecutive regular and post season games broadcast.

On Friday, June 22, Nickson returned to the public eye at the Kings draft party...and boy was he busy.

Check out Nickson's four-part discussion with Kings Television Commentator Jim Fox:

Nickson also sat down with Kings rookie defenseman Jack Johnson. Nickson, unfortunately was already 'out of the lineup' when Johnson made his NHL debut over the last five games of the 2006-07 season.  300K

No interview session with a Kings defenseman is complete without mentioning Rob Blake. See Nickson chat with the veteran blueliner, who just completed his first year since returning to the Kings this time a year ago. 300K

Along the same lines of Jay Leno's "Jay Walking," the radio "Voice of the Kings," did his "Quick Bits with Nick" grabbing nine seperate fans from the Kings Draft Party and chatting with the Los Angeles Supporters:
