PREVIEW: Kings' preseason shifts to Pepsi Center

ROCKY MOUNTAIN STATE:
The Kings are in Denver tonight to play the fourth of their six preseason games, where they’ll take on the Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center. Coming off of a 2-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks Friday night, the Kings carry a 2-1-0 preseason record into tonight’s bout. The Avalanche are 1-1-0 thus far doing the preseason; they’re coming off of a 1-0 loss to the Calgary Flames on Thursday night.

GREENE LIGHT: Matt Greene, who has yet to appear in any of the Kings’ preseason games thus far due to an illness, is expected to make his debut tonight; he skated alongside Alec Martinez this morning. Jordan Nolan, who suffered an ankle injury while training earlier this month, is expected to slide back into the Kings’ lineup tonight as well; he skated alongside Michael Mersch and Andy Andreoff this morning.

LINEUP: The Kings held an optional skate this morning at the Pepsi Center. Kyle Clifford skated with two different lines, but he is expected to be out tonight. NEW PLACES, SAME FACES: These two clubs met at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs in a preseason matchup on October 2 of last season, which the Kings won 2-1 in a shootout. Following tonight’s contest at the Pepsi Center, these two teams will conclude their respective exhibition schedules on October 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at Frozen Fury XVII.
