MANCHESTER, NH – The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, released defenseman Andrew Campbell from his amateur tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced Saturday.

Campbell, 20, finished second among defensemen on the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL with 13 goals, 22 assists and 35 points in 68 games. The 6-foot-4, 208-pound native of Caledonia, Ontario, played in 162 games with the Greyhounds from 2005-08 and recorded 57 points (18-39=57) and 162 penalty minutes. Campbell was selected by the Kings in the third-round (74th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
