With left wing Jeff Guiliano serving a hooking minor, the Bears jumped on the board first with a power play goal from center Kyle Wilson at 4:44 of the second period. Within a scrum of players in the left end boards, the puck got cleared out to the point were left wing Tomas Fleischmann uncorked a slap shot on Manchester's goaltender Jason LaBarbera. The netminder made a left pad save but the rebound came out to the left side of the crease where Wilson slammed it home for the score. Defenseman Scott Barney was credited with an assist on the goal.

The Bears extended their lead to 2-0 with a goal from Fleischmann at 17:26 of the second period. Wilson collected the puck along the right wing boards and sent it down to the end line. Fleischmann cradled the puck looking for a pass but then skated out to the face-off circle and snapped a wrist shot under LaBarbera's right arm and into the net.

Hershey increased their lead to 3-0 on the power play with defenseman Mike Green's seventh goal of the playoffs at 11:40 of the third period. The Bears cycled the puck around the right boards and Wilson found Green at the top of the left face-off dot. The defenseman settled the puck and with no one around him, let off a wrister beating LaBarbera over the glove. Fleischmann was given an assist on the tally.

Manchester got on the board at 16:24 of the final frame with a power play goal from defenseman Peter Harrold. Center Patrick O'Sullivan took a shot on Cassivi. The rebound came out and center Marty Murray tried to stuff it home but his shot turned into a pass that trickled over to the left side of the crease where Harrold knocked it home.

Just over a minute later, Hershey's right wing Chad Wiseman stole the puck on the left boards and skated in on LaBarbera. The forward let off a blistering slap shot that sailed over the glove of the Manchester goaltender. It was an unassisted goal that finished the scoring at 4-1.

LaBarbera took the loss stopping 33-of-37 shots. Cassivi earned the win by making 34 saves on 35 shots.

Manchester went 1-for-6 on the power play. Hershey was 2-for-7 with the man advantage.
