“I liked our first period tonight,” said Monarch Head Coach Mark Morris. “We got a late power play goal that gave us the edge for the period. We lost a lot of momentum after the too many men on the ice penalty. We lacked a sense of urgency in the second period. We picked it up in the third period and were able to tie it. They were able to get a goal in the shootout. It was a good effort, but not good enough.”
