Luc Robitaille
Kings legend and President of Business Operations Luc Robitaille appeared on NHL Live with Deb Placey and Billy Jaffe on Tuesday.

Luc Robitaille 6/9/09

During the show, Robitaille told Deb and Billy, who are on in place of Don La Greca and E.J. Hradek, the usual hosts of the show, that he is presenting the Calder Trophy for the Rookie of the Year at the NHL Awards while also competing in a charity poker tournament during the 2009 NHL Awards celebration in Las Vegas.

Check out some memorable quotes...for the rest, you will have to listen to the podcast:

On Luc's best NHL memories
"Stepping on the ice for the first time and saying I am in the NHL and I am a part of this group, that was something special. Winning the Cup, that is something no one can take away from you. It was fortunate for me that I won it after I played 16 years, if I would have won it my first year it would have been amazing, but I don't know if I would have realized the impact it would have on my life. When I won after 16 years it was amazing, I never forgot, I made sure I enjoyed every moment."

On the Kings
"For us, we are excited where we are at. The entire hockey world is talking about our organization. we have a lot of great young kids, we were the second or third youngest team throughout the season.

"Every player that plays on our team, their goal should be to win the Stanley Cup."

"When you play sports it is about winning, it is always about winning."

Don La Greca and E. J. Hradek take our listeners on a daily trip to the Big Apple live from XM's NHL studio.
