Lil' Kings Golden Ticket Event

50 of our 2018 Lil' Kings participants got the experience of a lifetime led by Daryl Evans, Derek Armstrong and Tyler Toffoli

On March 5th, 50 lucky Lil' Kings participants spent an exciting day with the LA Kings at Toyota Sports Center.

The Lil' Kings is the Kings' learn-to-play hockey program for children ages five to nine years old. This past February, as the new 2018 Lil' Kings participants got fitted with their new gear provided by CCM, there were "Golden Tickets" put into 50 of the children's bags.

Those 50 tickets gave them access to Monday's event, which included watching the watching the Kings' practice, a tour of the practice facility and locker rooms, and ended with an on-ice clinic hosted by Alumni Daryl Evans, Derek Armstrong, and Kings forward Tyler Toffoli.

As the Lil' Kings stepped on the ice for the first time in their head-to-toe new gear, they began various skating and balance drills, including beginning skating drills, an obstacle course, a fun balloon game, and playing soccer.

The kids then gathered for a question and answer session with Toffoli.

Lil' King: "Who is your favorite person on the LA Kings?"

Toffoli: "My favorite player is Tanner Pearson. He's my buddy. He better say that about me too."

The #bromance is real people.

The group then got together for some photos, and maybe the cutest selfie of all time.

These 50 kids will join the rest of the Lil' Kings participants for their 10 on-ice sessions starting later this month.

Pre-Registration is now open for the 2019 Lil' Kings program. For just $150, your child gets head-to-toe CCM hockey gear, six on-ice sessions, and the chance to participate in days like today…which was, as one Lil' King put it, "the best day of his life."
