The Kings finished off their preseason schedule with a game against the Anaheim Ducks at STAPLES Center on Tuesday night, and a game against the Colorado Avalanche in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for Frozen Fury XVII on Saturday night.

Tuesday 9/29 vs Anaheim
(L, 2-1)

Before anybody found the net in Tuesday night’s game, Milan Lucic got into his first fight as a King against Anaheim’s Josh Manson. Kyle Clifford scored the Kings’ lone goal midway through the second period. The contest extended to OT, where Corey Perry scored just :43 seconds in to secure a 2-1 victory for the Ducks.



HIGHLIGHTS

Saturday 10/3 vs Colorado
(W, 4-0)

The Kings made rather easy work of the Avalanche, who they outshot 28-6 through the first two periods, building a 3-0 lead. Dustin Brown, Kyle Clifford, and Trevor Lewis each scored, while Marian Gaborik tacked on another in the third to give the Kings a 4-0 win.



HIGHLIGHTS

The Kings finished their six-game preseason slate with a 4-1-1 record.

MOVING TIME

The Kings made a slew of roster moves during the week in order to cut down to their 23-man roster to begin the regular season on Wednesday.

Marian Gaborik corralled a loose puck behind Colorado’s net in the third period of the Kings’ 4-0 win Saturday night, and chipped it past Reto Berra from his knees.
